01About Hello Cetus
Hello Cetus is a mobile app focused on astronomy and calendar experiences. Depending on the version of the app and the device you use, the app may include moon-calendar views, today summaries, planet-angle views, astronomy reminders, date-based notes, region or city settings, and optional location-aware sky features.
By downloading, opening, or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
02Operator and Scope
Hello Cetus is operated by Waitcle. These terms govern your use of the Hello Cetus mobile app, the legal pages published for the app at hellocetus.com, and the related support or privacy-contact routes for the app.
If you download Hello Cetus through Apple, Google, or another app marketplace, that store's terms may also apply to your download, billing, device, or store account relationship.
03License and Allowed Use
Subject to these terms, we give you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Hello Cetus for personal, non-commercial use on devices you control.
Hello Cetus is licensed, not sold. Except where applicable law gives you rights that cannot be limited, we keep the rights in the app's software, design, branding, text, and related materials.
04Using the App
You may use Hello Cetus for your personal, non-commercial use unless we clearly state otherwise. The app may rely on optional device permissions such as notifications, exact alarms on supported Android devices, location access, or iPhone tracking permission, and some features may not work fully if those permissions are turned off.
You are responsible for how the app is used on your device, including your settings, reminders, local content stored by the app, and your use of browser, email, app-store, or system-settings links that the app may open when you choose those actions.
The current app build may also use Google advertising and consent tools, including app open ads on supported devices after eligibility checks such as launch count, consent status, and ad availability.
05What You May Not Do
- Use the app only in a lawful way and do not interfere with normal app operation.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, abuse, scrape, or break the app or its supporting systems.
- Do not misuse support channels, impersonate another person, or provide deceptive information.
- Do not copy or redistribute app content or design in a way that violates applicable law or our rights.
06App Content, Sources, and External Links
The app interface, design, text, software, and related materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Some astronomy or reference materials may also come from third-party or public sources used under their own notices or license terms.
Hello Cetus may include references to external sources, open-source software, public astronomy materials, licensed city or timezone reference data, browser pages, app store tools, or device email applications. Those external services operate under their own rules. For example, some moon imagery used in the app is based on NASA SVS Dial-A-Moon material, related city data notices include licensed or public-source materials, Google advertising and consent services may be used on supported devices, and NASA does not sponsor or endorse the app.
07Availability and Termination
Hello Cetus may change over time. Features may be added, removed, redesigned, paused, or updated as the app evolves. The app may also be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, platform changes, device compatibility issues, technical problems, or changes to external services and public-source materials the app references.
We may suspend or stop access to the app or to specific features if reasonably necessary for legal, security, abuse-prevention, or technical reasons. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it and clearing locally stored app data from your device.
We may also update these terms from time to time. If the terms are updated, the latest version published for the app will apply going forward after publication.
08Disclaimers and Liability
Hello Cetus provides astronomy, calendar, lunar, solar, planetary, and date-related information for general informational use.
The app is not a substitute for legal, financial, medical, emergency, or other professional advice.
Astronomy times, angles, reminders, and location-based outputs may vary depending on device settings, selected region or city, saved GPS values, time zone setup, platform behavior, and location precision.
Reminder delivery may vary because of notification settings, exact alarm availability, battery or operating-system behavior, reboot state, app replacement, and other device factors.
Some features depend on external resources such as NASA moon-image endpoints, Google advertising or consent systems, browser pages, email apps, app-store services, or other platform tools that may change or become unavailable.
Traditional or interpretive calendar content shown in the app should not be treated as a guaranteed statement of future results.
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the app will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device or in every region.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Waitcle and the Hello Cetus team are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue, goodwill, or device availability arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the app.
